Southport Townscape Heritage InitiativeThe Southport Townscape Heritage Initiative (THI) grant scheme has been established to help with the cost of improving historic buildings in the town's conservation area. The scheme is being funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund and the European Objective One Programme for Merseyside. The grant programme is being administered by the Southport Partnership and Sefton Council.

The Southport Townscape Heritage Initiative grant scheme has been established to help with the cost of improving historic buildings in the town’s conservation area. The THI broadly covers the area between Lord Street and the Promenade from Coronation Walk to Seabank Road.

Are you eligible?
Only owners or long-term tenants (minimum 10 years) of business premises within the area marked on the map will be eligible to receive THI grants. However, commercial buildings that include a residential component, or where residential accommodation is operated for business purposes - for example hotels or holiday flats - may qualify under the scheme.
